Our honey is extracted from our hives and the placement of them has a direct impact on the color and taste of the honey. We have hives in multiple locations and it all depends on what plants the bees are gathering pollen and nectar from.

Honey is a product of our bees and the plants they forage on. The lighter honey has a more subtle taste and one that many people think of when they think of honey, light and slightly floral.
The darker the honey the stronger the flavor is. Our Black honey is the deepest and most complex honey we have. It is reminiscent of sorghum molasses and makes a mean oatmeal raisin cookie!

Our black honey is 100% natural honey and 100% made by our bees!
Black honey is generally produced by the bees when there are drought or drought-like conditions. The lack of water results in honey that Is higher in pollen and minerals and lower in water content. It is a thick honey that is deep, and complex and tastes similar to molasses. It’s a real treat and we never know when nature will gift us with more. Get it while you can!

Our honey is harvested and extracted by us. we never heat our honey and yes, you may find “bits” in your honey occasionally. This is completely safe and is what you’re paying for, all that pollen, small pieces of beeswax, and all that good stuff!

It’s completely normal for honey to harden/crystallize. All you have to do to return it to its original goodness is to place your jar in some warm, not hot, water and let it gently melt.
If your honey was shipped in a plastic honey bear all you have to do is spoon some crystalized honey into a glass jar, place it in a bowl of warm water, and repeat as necessary.
